Olympic Container Terminal - Terminal 7 - Port of Tacoma

Olympic Container Terminal, LLC (OCT), a subsidiary of Yang Ming Lines, operates the 54-acre, newly renovated and expanded, Terminal 7 facility in Tacoma, Washington.

In order to accommodate current and expected growth, OCT selected NASCENT's SYNAPSE™ Automated Gate System (AGS) to expedite traffic into and out of the facility. The SYNAPSE™ AGS solution employed consists of 5 inbound gate lanes and 2 outbound gate lanes equipped with SYNAPSE™ Kiosks and Lane Control modules to enable communications with the driver while providing visual confirmation (if necessary). NASCENT also deployed 4 transfer area kiosks, yard cameras, and an IP Phone system for use at the facility. The SYNAPSE™ Gate Control Software communicates with Embarcadero Systems' MCATOS.
